The new screen is guided into position on the recently installed steel support structure. The steel frame has been integrated into the existing wash plant. The steel frame is supported off new reinforced concrete bored piers. The structure was analysed for both static and dynamic loads using SGASS software and the detailed drawings prepared on ACAD. Due to the arrangement of the existing wash plant there was very limited space to fit the new support frame and chute-work. A detailed site survey was undertaken at the beginning of the project to ensure the new screen structure would fit into the existing plant.
