Arncliffe Fire Station

The station is located at a major road intersection. To reduce noise and pollution levels the operational quarters and engine bay are independently housed inside of this large external steel framed circular structure. Lightweight timber framed offices and amenities have been constructed independent from the large outer frame. The offices face onto a series of courtyard style gardens separated from busy, polluted and noisy roads adding value and spirit to the work environment.

All stormwater from the site is managed on-site via a combination of storage and re-use and infiltration tanks. The infiltration tanks are constructed from open cell prefabricated units. The subsoil conditions consist of  sandy free draining material – suitable for infiltration.
