The images form part of a site inspection/instruction report issued to the builder. In general most projects of this type involve ongoing involvement/assessment as the old structure is exposed and assessed during demolition and renovation. Since it is usually not possible to fully expose the existing structure during the design stage, it becomes necessary to make assumptions as to the type and condition of the existing structure. Once the structure is exposed, it is often the case, that the structure is either inadequate, in poor condition or both. Hence is becomes essential that regular site inspections are made to ensure that the new construction meets with the required standards and the design is updated accordingly.
