The brief was to fully investigate this large, complex apartment/townhouse development and provide a report to the owners corporation in relation to the building condition and for the purposes of identifying and quantifying building defects ie defects that are covered either by the builders statutory warranties or by the home owners warranty insurer.
The investigations and subsequent report was submitted to the lawyers acting on behalf of the owners corporation and formed the basis of ongoing negotiations with the builder in order to resolve the dispute and obtain a commitment from the builder to (at his cost) to return to the building and rectify the defective work.
