Detailed condition reports have been prepared for this 100 year old heritage listed building.
The building was run down and in need of essential repairs. The aim of the investigations was to find a way that would preserve and enhance the building and at the same time revitalise and repair the structure and fabric of the building. To provide funding for what proved to be very extensive and costly repairs the concept of adding additional levels and apartments to the building was considered and eventually implemented. The additional levels where added to the rear of the building, set back from the street frontage so to minimise the impact on the buildings heritage and appearance. The front façade of the building was also returned to its original glory by sourcing copies of original plans and photographs.
